Synopsis

When duck chicks crawl out of the egg, they immediately start looking for their mother. Bad luck for Cathy! She is given a duck egg as a gift for her 10th birthday, but it is her best friend Margaux who is selected as the mother by the chick. But Margaux cannot take care of the animal. She is in a wheelchair, and moreover her parents do not want the cute animal in the house. What now? If nobody wants to take care of the chick, it is likely to end up in a can of cat food soon. For Cathy and Margaux, this means the start of a great adventure: they secretly leave on a trip to the river mouth, where they want to release the chick from their peers. In the meantime, their worried parents and even the police are chasing them …
