The internationally acclaimed animated film Superkat Maurice, by the co-writer of Shrek, can be seen in Dutch cinemas from April 19. Film distributor In The Air announced this today. The story is based on the book by the famous English writer Terry Patchett. It is a funny and adventurous animation film for the whole family; a spinning adventure with a tail! Georgina Verbaan, Patrick Martens, Nasrdin Dchar, Qucee, Pien van Bennekom and Peggy Vrijens form the great voice cast of Superkat Maurice. April 19 in cinemas! …If he feels like it.

Synopsis
Rats! They are everywhere…. in lunchboxes, dancing across tabletops, stealing pies from under the confectioner's nose. So what else does each city have? A Pied Piper, Super Cat Maurice! Maurice is a streetwise cat who, together with Mees (Nasrdin Dchar), Zonnebrand (Qucee) and Dangerous Beans (Patrick Martens), has set up a perfect 'business' to earn a lot of money from gullible townspeople. Everything goes well until they come to the town of Bad Blintz, where there are no rats at all! And no food either! They meet the book-obsessed girl Olivia (Georgina Verbaan) who enlists their help to solve the mystery….
