Sawsan's Secret Mission
Synopsis
You don't even have to travel far to feel like a stranger.
Karl moves with his mother from a Christian fishing village on the west coast of Denmark to the multicultural neighborhood of Nørrebro in Copenhagen.
Sawsan, an Islamic girl from his class, takes him under her wing and shows him around the big city. There is an immediate click between Sawsan, who did not fall for her mouth, and the naive Karl. Karl's reactions to life in the cosmopolitan make Sawsan laugh. Above all, he will have to do something about his dialect if he is ever to be accepted in
the new environment.
Karl is a virtuoso on the mixing board and when he discovers that Sawsan has written a song to participate in the youth song contest, he wants to help her with it.
Sawsan's father forbids his daughter to participate, but Karl has other plans.
