Synopsis

After the death of her husband Dick, Annie moves back to Amsterdam. In imaginative retrospectives full of song and dance, she takes us into her passionate life, which spans almost the entire twentieth century. It soon becomes clear that Annie MG Schmidt was not only that funny grandmother that everyone knew so well, but that the writer was a strong woman who fought for love all her life.

Annie MG Schmidt is played by Annemarie Prins, Malou Gorter and Sanne Vogel. The impressive cast also includes Tom Jansen, Gijs Scholten van Aschat, Daan Schuurmans, Jeroen Spitzenberger, Roeland Fernhout, Nelly Frijda, Huub van der Lubbe, Jeroen Willems, Pia Douwes and Wende Snijders.
